My New Skin Care Regimen with Urban Skin Rx

To be quite honest, I have never had a set skincare routine. Sure I washed my face and of course my body but I typically just used products that I picked up on a whim or smelled nice. As I’ve gotten older, I started to realize, that wasn’t the best approach for my aging skin. I started doing research on what products would work best with my combination skin because as we all know all beauty products are not created equal. When I came across Urban Skin Rx, I was immediately drawn in by the imagery. I have to say, there’s a certain comfort that comes from seeing products formulated for and catered to my melanated skin. However, the buck can’t stop there. The question is, do they work?

After taking their skin quiz,  I initially ordered the bundle of products, suggested for my face. This included their Combination Skin Cleansing Bar, Hydrabalance Instant Moisture Infusion Cream, Even Tone Night Treatment, Lactic Glow Micropolish Gentle Cleansing Gel, Complexion Protection Moisturizer with SPF, Aloe Cort Calming Cream, and a sample of Vitaleyez Retinol and Vitamin C Complex. Whoo! That’s a mouthful, isn’t it? I have been using these products faithfully for about 6 weeks and there is a noticeable difference already. While there a still some problem areas that will require more time, overall my skin is clearer, brighter, and isn’t dry like it would normally be during the colder months.  I was so impressed with the way in which these products were improving my skin, that I reached out to Urban Skin RX to become an ambassador.

Not only did they approve that request, they asked that I take part in their newest campaign, promoting their Glow From Head to Toe Body Collection line that caters to the skin under your chin. I was gifted their 3 step system, which included a Clear and Even Tone Body Cleansing Bar, Even Tone Smoothing Body Treatment, and Clear Skin Clarifying Back and Body Spray. These products are specifically for body blemishes and texture concerns and help to improve the appearance of dark spots, rough skin texture, scarring or aging skin. I have been using the Cleansing Bar in the morning, followed by the Clarifying Back and Body Spray for dark spots on my back. In the evening, I use the Cleansing Bar again but follow with the Even Tone Smoothing Body Treatment.

While I have only been using these products for about 2 weeks, I love the way they make my skin feel and I particularly love the exfoliating body sponge, which is also included. I have to say the eucalyptus smell of the Cleansing Bar, took some getting used to but do remember, I have been purchasing very sweet smelling body products for most of my life, so that was just a minor adjustment. I think that the Body Collection will be as impactful on my skin as the other products have been on my face. So far I am very pleased with Urban Skin Rx products!
