DIY Rose Teddy Bear in 4 Easy Steps
Hey, hey, hey! We’ve almost made it to Valentine’s Day! And there’s just one thing I wanna say…
These stores are trying to make you pay-yay-yay! Ok so I’m no Cardi B, with the lyrics but the fact remains that Valentine’s Day equals big pay days for retailers. I’m not really one who focuses on February 14 because honestly, I get the love year round but I can’t help to get caught up in all the cuteness that hearts and XOXO’s bring.
I recently saw a rose teddy bear online and was obsessed with how cute it was. However, when I did a Google search, I wasn’t too obsessed with the price, so I decided to make it myself and you can too! It was super easy and took less than 2 hours.
Here’s what you’ll need:
2 Large Round Floral Foams for the body. (Dollar Store/Michael’s)
4 Small/Medium Round Floral Foams for the arms and legs. (Dollar Store/Michael’s)
Glue Gun
Top from Small Valentine’s Day Gift box (Dollar Store)
Step 1.
Glue the 2 larger rounds together, one on top of the other.
Step 2.
Glue the smaller rounds to the body to make arms legs. The rounds that will be the legs will provide the stability for the bear to sit upright, so be sure to place them far enough apart to do so.
Step 3:
Start gluing the foam roses. There’s really no rhyme or reason with this, you just want to ensure that you can no longer see the foam balls.
Step 4.
Take the top off of your gift box and glue it to the belly of the bear. I added red rhinestones that I purchased from Michael’s to my top for some extra pizazz.

There you have it! A cute little rose bear that you can keep or gift to someone for under $35.
Before I go, let me add this funny tidbit. Not all DIY’s are going to be successful on your first try and sometimes they can come out just plain awful. I learned a good lesson in less is more when I decided to add red rhinestones to my bear. I thought it would be so cute but instead it made the bear look like it had the chicken pox and started to make me itch.
Needless to say, I removed them but my slight faux pas didn’t ruin the project. If you make one, let me know how yours turns out in the comments!
