Earlier this week I decided to treat myself to a post Mother's Day, spa day at Salt Med Spa in Peachtree City, Georgia. While this spa is small and quaint, I really appreciate the services it offers which include Halotherapy. Halotherapy is an alternative medicine that helps to relieve a host of ailments by spending allotted time breathing in salty air in man-made "salt caves." These rooms are covered from top to bottom and wall to wall with sea salt and a grainer salt used as the ground. It's almost as though you're walking in a sandpit but it's salt. Although I have tried halotherapy in the past, it wasn't on the itinerary for my spa day.
