And all at Once, Summer Collapsed Into Fall

Happy Fall Y’all! I promise you I actually used to hate that phrase. You see, I am one who longs for the dog days of summer. I prefer the long sunny days when dressing is effortless and includes flip flops and sundresses and lazy days by the pool. However, as I’ve gotten older, I still prefer summer days but I enjoy decorating for fall, which leads to Halloween and then Christmas. I have learned to accept that Fall is the catalyst that leads to some of my favorite times of the year. While we haven’t officially started the season, the crisp temperatures last night and this morning, reminded me that it isn’t far off. This is the first year that I have added a Fall tree to my porch decor. For me it’s just so whimsical to have a Christmas tree decorated for another season but it really adds pizazz and tends to confuse the neighbors, until they see it up close.
